I’m suffering from incredible tiredness; I have to go to sleep as soon as I’ve done the slightest thing (cooked, gone shopping, had a shower, walked the dog, and so on). During my holiday, I just took it easy and felt well-rested and ready to go back to work, but after about a week I was so exhausted that I went on sick leave. I’ve now been at home for six weeks and still feel completely knackered, and I’m starting to get the feeling that my doctor, Dr Binte, is all too keen to put me on sick leave for longer…I’m taking Madopark 100 three times a day and pramipexole 0.26 twice a day. I’m on 50 per cent sickness benefit, so I work four hours a day and have no life! It’s so pointless… I don’t know what to do.

Severe tiredness can have many different causes. How is your general health and your sleep, for example? Sometimes tiredness is a side effect of pramipexole – could there be a connection? You’re on a low dose of Parkinson’s medication, so you could discuss with your doctor whether it might be worth trying a higher dose of Madopark. /Dag Nyholm
